About This Saree

The Banarasi Katan Silk Saree is the most celebrated variety of Banarasi silk — made from pure katan (twisted silk threads) with authentic gold and silver zari brocade work. Katan silk is known for its extra lustre, crisp texture and durability.

This saree features intricate jangla and buta patterns on the body with a heavily worked zari pallav. The border carries traditional Banarasi design elements. It is handwoven on a traditional pitloom by master weavers in Varanasi.

Ideal for weddings, special occasions, puja ceremonies and festive wear. Each piece is unique — small variations in weave are part of the handmade character.

Pure Katan Silk

Finest grade katan — smooth, lustrous, long-lasting. Feels luxurious against skin.

Real Badla Zari

Genuine gold and silver zari — BIS purity tested. Not synthetic or metallic thread.

Geographical Indication No. 114 — guarantees authentic Varanasi handloom origin.

Handloom Crafted

Care Instructions

To preserve the beauty and longevity of your Banarasi silk saree, follow these care guidelines carefully.

Dry Clean Only

Always dry clean your Banarasi silk saree. Hand washing or machine washing may damage the zari and silk.

No Water Soaking

Never soak in water. If dampened accidentally, gently blot with a dry cloth and dry in shade.

Avoid Direct Sunlight

Dry and store away from direct sunlight. Prolonged UV exposure can fade silk and tarnish zari.

Store in Muslin

Wrap in a soft muslin or cotton cloth. Avoid plastic bags — silk needs to breathe.

Steam Iron Only

If ironing is needed, use a steam iron on low heat from the reverse side. Never iron directly on zari.

Pest Protection

Use neem leaves or camphor tablets near silk storage to deter moths and insects.
